Oxford College of Education Signs Landmark Partnership with Mandulis Energy to Bring Free Skills Scholarships and Online Learning to Uganda

Oxford College of Education Group today marked a historic milestone in its international education mission, signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Mandulis Energy in support of skills development for unemployed people and working professionals across Uganda who wish to improve their qualifications and career prospects.
Under the agreement, Oxford College of Education is proud to offer 100 scholarships to learners in Uganda, giving them free access to internationally recognised, CPD-accredited skills development courses.
Building on this founding cohort, Mandulis Energy will support the recruitment of at least 1,000 learners each year going forward, opening the door to sustained, large-scale access to British qualifications for communities across the country.
Every course under the partnership is delivered entirely online, meaning learners in Uganda do not need to travel overseas to access world-class education.
Students, employees and job seekers alike can study flexibly from any device — a smartphone, tablet or computer — wherever they are.
For Uganda’s graduates and unemployed youth in particular, the partnership represents a genuine and timely opportunity: a pathway to internationally recognised credentials, stronger employability, and new routes into work and enterprise, without the cost or disruption of relocating abroad.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Mr Peter B. O. Nyeko, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Mandulis Energy, and Mr Jashim Uddin, Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Oxford College of Education Group.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr Mahendrasinh C. Jadeja (“Dada”), Chairman, International Business and Trade Affairs, South Asia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SACCI), and Chairman of CPI.
The signing ceremony took place at the Royal Horseguards Hotel in London, on the sidelines of the 16th UK–Africa Investment Summit, and was followed on 12 September by a lunch and award ceremony at the House of Lords, Houses of Parliament, Westminster.
Oxford College of Education Group was honoured to meet Uganda’s Prime Minister on 11 September, along with the Minister of Education and Sports, the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Members of Parliament, and a number of distinguished business owners, directors and chief executives who attended the proceedings.
Ministers and Members of Parliament from Uganda warmly welcomed the partnership, expressing their appreciation to Oxford College of Education Group and extending an invitation to visit Uganda, with an assurance that government authorities would provide all necessary support for the programme’s success.
